# Seedream 5.0 — Pricing and credits

Subscriptions are billed in USD through Stripe. Prices below come from the checkout catalog the server uses (client-side prices are ignored).

"Rough capacity" assumes the Normal image model at 10 credits per image; other models cost more (see below).

## How credits work

- New accounts get a one-time gift of 20 credits (enough for 2 Normal images), granted after the account email is verified (email + password signups) or immediately when signing up with Google, with no expiry date. It is granted once per account.
- Plan credits are added on each successful payment (first purchase and every renewal) and expire at the end of that billing period.
- Credits are reserved when a generation task is created and automatically restored if the task fails or is canceled.
- Balance and credit history are shown in the account settings after sign-in.
